My name is Dafrosa Mbanga; thank you for taking the time to review my scholarship application. I am thrilled to apply for the Tech Scholarship. 

Growing up a girl child from a regular family in the African continent, I didn’t get the education and support in emotional intelligence, mindset, and wealth to thrive as a woman in the world. I struggled because I lacked the knowledge, information, and guidance to utilize these aspects and thrive as an adult. 

Due to technological advancement, I got access to books, webinars, podcasts, and courses by professionals with a legitimate track record in these fields. While learning from these professionals, the knowledge and skills gained were top-notch, but they needed to be in the context of youth in Africa. 

So, I thought, why don’t I use these skills and knowledge to build and craft stories and sessions that navigate these aspects in the context of youth in Africa, build a tech product like an app, and host these educational sessions and stories? Then, I made a plan and decided to utilize the skills and knowledge gained and combine them with technology to pursue this mission.
